SUCCESSFULLY ORGANIZED THE TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT “VAST SUPER CUP 2024”

On April 12th, 2024, the Trade Union – Branch of the Institute of Science and Technology for Energy and Environment coordinated with the Trade Union – Branch of the High Technology Research and Development Center to co-organize the VAST Super Cup 2024 table tennis tournament, aiming to creating a healthy playground for units under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) and guest units, with the purpose of improving health and solidarity. The tournament was organized to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the VAST’s founding Day, The Science and Technology Day on May 18th and the successful Congress of the Youth Union of the Center for High-Tech Research and Development – Branch The delegation of the Institute of Science and Technology for Energy and Environment for the term 2024 – 2027.

Attending the opening ceremony of the VAST Super Cup 2024 table tennis tournament were: Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hue, President of the Academy Trade Union; Mr. Dang Quoc Dai, Vice Secretary of the Academy’s Youth Union; Mr. Nguyen Quang Ninh, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Director of the Institute of Science and Technology for Energy and Environment; Mr. Phan Ngoc Hong, Vice Director of the Center for High-Tech Research and Development; Mr. Phan Quang Thang, Chairman of the Trade Union of the Institute of Science and Technology for Energy and Environment; Mr. Vu Duc Anh, Chairman of the High-Tech Research and Development Center Trade Union.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Ninh, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Director of the Institute of Science and Technology for Energy and Environment gave the opening speech of the tournament.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hue, President of the Academy Trade Union spoke to welcome the success of the tournament.

Mr. Dang Quoc Dai, Vice Secretary of the Academy’s Youth Union, on behalf of the Academy Delegation Standing Committee, gave the tournament a congratulation bouquet.

With the spirit of enthusiasm, honesty and solidarity of “fair-play”, the athletes contributed to the audience 36 matches with many beautiful, dramatic and high professional quality plays. Participating in this year’s tournament were 51 officials from units inside and outside the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, competing in 02 contents: Men’s Team, Men’s – Women’s Team. After 36 exciting, fierce and exciting matches, the tournament ended successfully.

* Men’s Team Content

– Champion: Alliance of The Technology Research and Development Center – The Institute of Biotechnology (Dang Binh – Nguyen Sy Le Thanh);

– 01 Second Prize: Vietnam Television Technology Investment and Development Company (VTC) (Tran Manh Hung – Nguyen Quang Linh);

– 02 Third Prize: Vietnam Television (VTV) (Ta Truong Son – Nguyen Quang Huy and Hoang Long – Dang Quoc Huan).

* Men’s and Women’s team content

– Champion: Co Loa Club (Nguyen Huong Giang – Tran Thi Hang – Pham Tuan Ngoc);

– 01 Second Prize: Alliance of The High Technology Research and Development Center – The Institute of Natural Compound Chemistry – Information and Documentation Center (Dang Binh – Hoang Thi Bich – Tran Thi Kim Ngan);

– 01 Third Prize: Alliance of Vietnam Space Center – The Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources (Nguyen Tien Su – Pham Quynh Mai – Bich Ha);

The award ceremony was held on the afternoon of April 12th, 2024.
