SUCCESFULLY CONGRESS OF THE BRANCH OF THE INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FOR ENERGY AND ENVIROMENT TERM 2024-2017

On the afternoon of March 13, 2024, in Hanoi, the Youth Union of the Institute of science and technology for energy and environment held the Union Congress for the term 2024-2027. This is a key congress chosen to be organized by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) Youth Union.

Attending the project and directing the Congress were comrade Do Van Manh, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Institute of science and technology for energy and environment (ISTEE); Comrade Phan Ke Son, Member of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of Central Communications Agencies, Secretary of VAST Youth Union and comrades in the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology Youth Union, representatives of the Union leaders, Trade Union leadership representative and the Inspection Committee People’s ISTEE; together with all members, young people at VAST and delegates representing 39 Youth Union establishments under VAST.

The Congress took place at a time when the youth of the VAST were trying their best to emulate achievements to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26,1931 – March 26, 2024), and aims to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (May 20,1975 – May 20,2025). This is also the time when the Youth Union’s ministries at all levels deploy Youth Month activities in 2024. At the Congress, the Presidium presented a report on the results of the Union’s work activities and the youth movement for the 2022-2024 term, goals, tasks and solutions in the 2024-2027 term; report reviewing the activities of the Executive Committee for the 2022-2024 term of the Youth Union of ISTEE. On that basis, the Congress focused on discussing and contributing many important opinions to complete the draft Political Report, at the same time affirming the achievements achieved in recent years, pointing out limitations. Mechanisms and shortcomings need to continue to be overcome and improved in the next term, especially focusing all resources to best complete assigned political tasks.

During the past term, the Youth Union has received the attention and direction of the Party Committee, the Institute’s Board of Directors, and the coordination of the Trade Union of the Institute of Energy Science, Technology and Environment. Comrade Do Van Manh – Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of ISTEE gave a directive speech, emphasizing the key tasks of the Youth Union as well as the Executive Committee in the next period, complete professional tasks well, promote youth and creativity, and contribute more achievements to the development of the Institute.

Comrade Phan Ke Son, Member of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of Central Communications Agencies, Secretary of VAST Youth Union spoke on behalf of the Standing Committee of the VAST Youth Union to give instructions at the Congress. Comrade Secretary of the Youth Union congratulated the success of the Congress and assigned key tasks to the Youth Union Executive Committee in the upcoming 2024-2027 term, emphasizing that the top task is private political education. thought for Union members and young people; build and develop a youth movement to carry out professional tasks, engage in scientific research, and apply and deploy technology; continue to well implement the unit’s important political tasks, promote the youth’s pioneering spirit, and build action programs for the Academy’s youth associated with the performance of professional duties.

With a high spirit of solidarity and unity, the Congress elected the Youth Union Executive Committee for the term 2024-2027, including 05 comrades. Comrade Vo Quynh Vinh, on behalf of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of ISTEE for the 2024-2027 term, promised to unite and agree to work together to pass the Resolution of the Youth Union Congress for the 2024-2027 term into work practice, promote the capacity of the organization and union members in the Youth Union, and successfully complete assigned tasks.
